TOYOTA ANNOUNCES $792M EXPANSION OF CZECH PLANT TO BUILD NEW ELECTRIC CAR
Japanese carmaker Toyota plans to invest €680 million ($792 million) at its plant in Kolin, Czech Republic, to add a new production line.
The line, supported by a government incentive of up to €64 million ($75 million), will produce a new battery electric vehicle, making Kolin the first Toyota plant to produce battery electric cars in Europe.
Toyota currently produces Aygo X and Yaris Hybrid at the facility at a capacity of approximately 220,000 vehicles per year.
