What Happens When You Run a Truck With Twin Engines
Welcome to WhistlinDiesel HQ - this is the final progress update on MonsterMax 2, the world’s largest fully functioning pickup. We synced two diesel engines and two transmissions with a custom TCM “brain,” laid down semi-truck air brakes that lock all four tires, tested rear-steer, and proved it’ll cruise and climb with real throttle left. Then reality checked us: driveline angles bound up, a fan relay cooked our temps, and the top-heavy “missiles” tried to saw a tire in half. We learned a ton (bigger sway bar, weight down low, limit straps, better cooling), spit a few bolts, pressure-washed a muddy shop, and somehow still drove it like a real truck. Next time you see MM2, it’ll be lighter, cooler, and meaner. Subscribe if you like impractical progress made the hard way.
