NEXT GENERATION 2027 CHEVY SILVERADO 1500 SPOTTED DRIVING WEST TO COLORADO

A fan sent us photos of a convoy of next generation Chevy Silverado 1500 trucks spotted driving west to Colorado covered in camouflage.

It is worth noting, these could be GMC Sierra 1500 trucks as well and are impossible to tell. They were likely on their way to the Colorado mountains for high altitude testing.

Next Generation Chevy Silverado 1500

These are expected to be 2027 Chevy Silverado 1500 models debuting sometime next year and hitting dealership lots in the Fall of the year.

As we have previously reported, the 2027 Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 will come with new styling on the front and rear. There will also be new interior styling with the dash layout to be more inline with what the new Tahoe and Yukon have been using with a horizontal screen for the Chevy and a vertical screen for the GMC.

The big news will be the powertrains with new V8 engines produced at the GM Tonawanda plant after it received a record, for GM, $888 million investment. These new engines will address any leftover concerns about lifter failure and will include electrification in the form of hybrid or a plug-in hybrid setup according to the latest rumors online.

It is expected they will also use the same 10-speed automatic transmission that they have been using for sometime.

The ZR2 version will also feature 35″ tires and hopefully an improvement on the 6.2L V8 horsepower and we speculated recently with those spy photos.

It will be interesting to see more about what GM has planned for their full-size trucks as more details come out.
