We cut up a brand-new Toyota to build the ultimate drift car

What starts as a brand-new reproduction Toyota AE86 chassis from China quickly turns into an all-out custom performance build. To squeeze in a 500-horsepower Honda K20 engine, the team cuts, welds, and fabricates nearly every major section of the car, from the transmission tunnel and subframe to the fuel system and roll cage. Every step pushes the project further away from stock and closer to a purpose-built race machine. By the end, the once-empty chassis has transformed into a fully assembled 500HP monster that's ready for paint and one step closer to hitting the track.
