ONE KILLED AND EIGHT INJURED IN MULTI-VEHICLE CRASH ON THE I-15 NEAR RANCHO BERNARDO

One person died and multiple people were injured in a three vehicle crash that occurred Sunday morning just before 9 a.m. on the SB I-15 freeway near Camino del Norte in the Rancho Bernardo neighborhood, according to the San Diego Fire Department.

Eight people were transported to the hospital due to the crash, and the San Diego Fire Department tells NBC 7 that two of those persons were children. Their status is unknown.

All lanes of the SB I-15 were closed north of Camino Del Norte at around 11 a.m. and they were reopened an hour later just before 12 p.m.
