This volume includes Edwin Morgan's "Poems of Thirty Years" 1982 and "Themes on a Variation" 1988, together with some 50 uncollected poems from 1939 to 1982. About the Author Edwin Morgan was Scotland's first national poet - Scotland's version of the Poet Laureate - and one of the best-loved and most significant poets of the twentieth century. Edwin Morgan 1920 – 2010 was born and educated in Glasgow, where he returned to lecture in English Literature at Glasgow University after a period in the army. He was the author of many books, including poetry, criticism, essays, translations, plays and works of concrete poetry, for which he received awards including the Queen’s Gold Medal for Poetry and the Weidenfeld Prize for Translation; in.
