Volvo is adding more power, tech, and choice to its electric lineup for 2026, including major updates to the EX90 SUV and the US arrival of new EX30 models.
Leading the changes, the 2026 EX90 gains an 800-volt electrical architecture that significantly cuts charging times, while adding up to 155 miles of range in 10 minutes on a compatible fast charger. Every EX90 also receives upgraded Nvidia chips that allow Volvo to expand its driver-assist and safety suite.
Power rises across the board, with the top-spec EX90 Twin Motor Performance now delivering 670 hp, making it the most powerful production Volvo yet, says the automaker. The SUV also adds a Single Motor version to the lineup and offers new options such as an electrochromic panoramic roof and ventilated leather upholstery in three color choices.
On the smaller end of the range, Volvo has confirmed US pricing for the EX30 Single Motor, starting at $40,245. The compact electric SUV offers up to 261 miles of EPA-estimated range and can charge from 10% to 80% in 28 minutes.
A new EX30 Cross Country model brings higher ground clearance, all-wheel drive, and rugged styling touches like skid plates, extended wheel arches, and a dark front shield etched with a map of Sweden’s Kebnekaise mountain. It starts at $49,445 and is available exclusively as a Twin Motor Ultra model.
Rounding out the 2026 lineup, Volvo adds a Black Edition styling package to the EX40, the first US all-electric model to offer the treatment. It can be paired with four exterior colors, including Onyx Black and Crystal White, for either monochrome or high-contrast looks.
