CHEVY OWNERS ARE TERRIFIED. THE SHOCKING REASON GM JUST ISSUED A STOP-SALE ORDER.

General Motors and Chevrolet have recently unveiled two exciting Corvette concepts, but some earlier models are now under a safety recall. The 2025–2026 Corvette ZR1 and the 2024–2025 Z06 are being recalled because of a potential fuel leak that poses a fire hazard. In response, General Motors has issued a stop-sale order for all affected vehicles.

The problem involves cars equipped with a left-side radiator and fan combination unit. If excess fuel spills into the filler area, it can leak onto an ignition source and increase the risk of fire. Because the filler pocket is located directly above the radiator and cooling fan, any leaked fuel could be drawn into the radiator and engine compartment.

General Motors has confirmed four fire incidents, two of which were caused by malfunctioning gas station pumps that spilled fuel. The company became aware of the issue after an employee saw social media posts from three owners describing fires while refueling. The fourth fire involved a General Motors-owned development vehicle. Two of these incidents resulted in minor injuries.

To resolve the issue, General Motors will install a diverter shield beneath the filler area of affected vehicles. Owners will receive official recall notifications starting in early October. While some exported Stingray models are also impacted, the Corvette E-Ray is not affected.
